Anyone see a VW diesel hooked to a hydrolic pump?

I'm wondering how hard it would be to hook a VW diesel up to a hydrolic pump and run things with it.
Like the open source skid loader.

Shouldn't be too difficult. Plenty of forklifts have VW diesel power. VW sells a whole line of industrial engines based on their automotive models.

The 1.9 NA motor I ended up installing into my transporter was from an industrial water pump
