Cluster Issues
« on: April 05, 2017, 12:52:52 pm »
Greetings,

I've changed the battery of my Vento from a 12V 63ah to an 74AH,
but when I tried to first start with the new battery, car just lost all the power... reconnected the battery cables, and it started but rev counter does not work at all, oil indicator is flashing, and the battery indicator not giving any signal....

Did I burnt anything   ???  :-\ :'(

Best regards

Going from 63 Ah to 74 is only an upgrade to give you more capacity.  It doesn't change the voltage to anything, you are still sending 12 or 13 volt to the system.  You issues sound more like a bad connection at the starter or the ground.  Most likely ground but I would clean up on all ends and apply some dielectric gel to keep it well connected.

I'd definitely be looking for a ground wire that is no longer connected.
