Napa and lordco have some parts. Sometimes you need to do homework and find the ahu/1z part numbers that correspond to the Aaz for them to find them.

I've bought a few things from prothe in the past and to be honest not all of it was junk. He does have some name brand stuff that was far cheaper then anywhere else I could find it. That being said some of his stuff is garbage.

A lot of stuff you'll have to get from the state's. Between rockauto and partsplace you should be fairly well covered. Ive got stuff from eBay as well.

In my experience a lot of the stuff seems to come from the same suppliers, whether you buy from your local parts store or from places like AutohausAZ or PartsPlace. It's probably all made in China no matter who supplies it, so there's not much way to get around that.

I got some parts from my local vw dealer....
Good parts, Conti, INA. Note, INA is a german brand me thinks, but the INA tensioner is made in Canada, and the INA aaz crank sprocket is made in China.

VM Autohaus located in Burnaby BC is where I have been getting my non chinese parts....
But like said, do your homework.

They have been a great bunch to deal with. Family operation and very approachable.

I second VM Autohaus. Pretty much everything they sell is OEM quality. They're also pretty great at getting somewhat hard to find bits.
