Parting out 1.6TD longblock. Everything available but the head.
« on: February 03, 2017, 12:49:19 pm »
Hello, all!

I had a 1.6 MF TD, and I overheated it and cracked the head.

I have had the engine sitting on a stand too long, and before I throw it away, thought I would check here to see if anyone needs anything.

The engine was recently refreshed (new rings, bearings, rebuilt rods, etc..), but of course overheated, so what can you do...

I have it basically broken down. Have all the brackets (except for Alt tensioner: I already sold that), AC compressor, Alt, starter, etc, as well as rods, pistons, crank, block, camshaft, solid lifters, hi flow oil pump, etc...

It has ARP studs, but one won't come out (yet), and I stripped the hex a bit, so if anyone needs a few spare ARP studs, I got you.

I will happily entertain trades for any upgrades to work on an AAZ, as my new Caddy came with an AAZ already installed..

Since I don't log in here too often, the best way to reach me is to email: [email protected] (though I'll try to keep tabs on the thread).

Photos provided on request.

Located in Orlando, Fl.

Thanks!
-Brad

All emails replied to.

On another note, the TD Injection Pump, lines & injectors are all gone. They were put on my 1.6NA car, and were sold with the car.

Big Guns:
I got an email about the con rods (not sure if it was you or not), I would say $100 shipped to the US? They were recently checked, and found to be in spec as of 3000 miles before the engine overheated.

Also, if anyone is located in Central Florida, prices will be lower if you come pick it up.
I just need to get rid of this stuff and move on.

Thanks!
-Brad

Sorry about the delay, haven't been over here in a few weeks.

Turbo is gone.

I still have the exhaust manifold: Tapped for Aircraft Spruce EGT pre-turbo. Still not 100% that I want to let this go, it might be needed on my AAZ.
Oil lines: have both. Both were purchased new from VW dealership.
Oil pan is currently up on ebay. It's an OEM one I bought at the dealership because the one on the car was stripped.

Feel free to send an email to follow up.
Thanks!
