Temperature Gauge
« on: October 04, 2016, 07:59:57 am »
hello everyone.

I was wondering what do I have to do to install a digital temperature gauge. Do I just disconnect the one from the dash and connect it to the digital one?

keep the dash, and sensor set-up, you can add a temp gauge, although other gauges can be more helpful, the only thing the stock temp gauge doesnt show is #'s for temps, it has correct zone well 'marked', and a couple of idiot lights hooked in to it. the 1 light(idiot) is at the reservoir, water level, the other light is for hot temps, dont know the exact reading for this light, as bottom of radiator has sensor, for rad fan operation.

probably the best way to hook up a secondary water temp sensor/gauge set-up. get a T or Y hook up, i use copper washers as much as i can, and 3m permatex, not on threads, 3m on copper washer. Y or T may need an adapter for either or one of the sensors(sensor to Y or T threads). put together on front water flange(coming off head), make sure its grounded. that way you can keep stock sensor& idiot light, dash set-up.
