1986 VW diesel Golf $1249 with working AC, power steering, cruise control.

See videos on my reply postings below.

Has a 5 speed manual transmission and 5th gear is good. Seats aren't torn. Dash isn't cracked. Comes with the paperwork from when it was purchased in 86.

Tires replaced with snow tires that have only 3,000 miles on them. Timing belt and tensioner replaced. Valve covery gasket replaced. New fuel, oil and air filters. Oil changed. New glow plug relay and fusave link. New battery. New wipers.

It is hard to find a car in this nice of condition and not be rusted out. The shock towers are in great shape. Slight rust by a fender. Car has been parted for almost 20 years because of 5th gear which has been corrected. Own something that sips fuel at around 50 mpg. Comes with a hitch for the rear of the car in the truck and a spare ac compressor and intake hose.

Front tow hitch does NOT come with car.

I thought it was out of the Portland, OR area.  A Craigslist ad.  Looks very familiar.  But I think it is gone.

darn too far from me.  i have no idea why its so hard to find one of these in california.

seems so far when i do see them they have those seals with the metal trim which i don't like, ce1 wiring, and brown interior?

pretty soon i am going to get anxious and buy a gasser and hope i can get the title converted easy like i read about on the internet.

Ya, I am getting that. Lot of tire kickers that come test drive, never touched a diesel before and then never call back.
