Hello New Members - Welcome!

new to the board and didn't see an intro thread or subforum, so i figure here will work.
i've lurked the board and facebook group since about i got my 09 jetta tdi last year.
just picked up an 86 jetta turbodiesel as a car to mess around with and learn a little more about working on these beasts.
figured, since this is a great resource, i'd go ahead and sign up.
i've already got a few questions, but i figured i'll dig around for a bit before putting them up

anyway, thanks for having this awesome resource. look forward to taking part more here.  :D

I want to post a thread in the IDI engine section, and I do not see any button that will allow me to post anything, how does this work?
When I open the threads, it lets me reply to people's thread but how do I post my own thread?

Welcome from the dark side.  AB911, when you click on the IDI page from the home button you will see a small NEW TOPIC button where the reply is on other threads.  Just start a new one with a title and such and post it. 

Make sure you fill in all your profile information as well, like place and particulars.  If you ever ask a general question about your neck of the woods most of us look to see where that might be.  We are scattered about and at times folks from one place or across town have gone to assist others.  Your never know who has an old VW hiding in their back lot or garage these days.

Also take some time to read the general stuff and some of the rules.  I know I am guilty of violations because I forget at times.  Settle in and post away.
