As the title states for sale is an FF code 020 MK1 tranny. This does NOT have the 3 bolt holes required to be placed into an MK2. This gearbox has the much sought after .71 fifth gear. Tranny is located in Townsend Massachusetts. Looking for local pickup unless someone can tell me a good way to ship a tranny.
Ship it freight to anywhere. Just have to strap it to a pallet really well. Maybe shrink wrap it first to keep the grease from coming off or out of it. Make it so they just fork it off and on and you are good to go.
At one time my son had a motorcycle shipped from the east coast to us on the west coast. It was secured with tie downs and had the fluids taken out of it.
Drain the fluid and put it in a rubber made tote with foam mattress for padding. Use gorilla tape. It should be light enough to ship usps then. But check their weight allowance first.
FedEx has a 150 pound limit, I think UPS has 100, the trans will be under 75 but packing will be a little.
I had one shipped to me via FedEx last year. Drain fluids. Plastic wrap. Use the tote that Burn suggested instead of the cobbled together box I received.
