Good Morning,
I am new to the forum and ive been reading a lot but I couldn't find a post where it would tell me the wiring under the hood.
I just picked up a 1981 Pickup with the 1.6D N/A (NO AC) and the engine bay has ALOT of cut cables and a lot of rigged stuff. I would like to know if theres a diagram I can go by to redo the wires and clean is as much as I can by deleting cables I can be without. Thanks in advance. I will try to get a picture later on today so show.
Thanks in advance.
The Bentley manual for your vehicle will have the appropriate wiring diagram.
You might find a Bentley at the local Library. For those that have one I can tell you trying to figure out the colors and such is a pain and so trying to take a photo and posting it is going to be next to worthless on this forum. Sometimes diagrams work but they need to be rather large in the first place.
So i guess thats the least of my worries. i check the coolant and it has oil. i also check the air filter and its covered in oil and the intake manifold has oil in there.
Do you guys think its the head gasket?
The oil in the intake/air filter is probably from the crankcase vent and excessive blowby. Oil in the coolant is most likely head gasket unless you have an oil cooler filter.

how do I know if I have the 11.5 bolts or the 12.5? im ready to buy the head gasket. I also was reading that it can be a crack block.
I would drive it.
I got a 1.9. Na. Saw a lot of oil on the air filter and in the coolant.
40,000 miles later......engine still runs good as new....
