freeway flyer

swap 1.6 L into a 73 bug.   would it be wise to use a freeway flyer trany, for best fuel mileage, or should i stick with the stock bug box?

I would stick with the diesel Trans.  Not sure that old bug box would take the down low torque like the diesel would.You mounting this in the rear or the front?

Rear engine, front radiator.  thanks for advise.
Be more specific about the parts that you need, because I have a 1980 Rabbit PU that could supply parts

What I really lack for my 81 is that fancy handle for the sunroof.  The little knob is broken off of mine and it is a bit of a pain to open and close just using the flip down handle.  Not sure PU's had the same style of sunroof.  Not enough slider room in a pickup cab.

Sorry, no joy.  mine has no sunroof.
Lights & wipers are all good.
