Is this piston OK to re-use?

I am in the midst of a re-do for my 1.5L "Franken" engine.  Block will go to the machine shop to see if it will clean up with a honing, or if it needs to be bored to the next oversize.

Meanwhile, I'm trying to figure out if I can re-use this piston, or if I should buy a new one.

That should buff out. Get 3M perfect it and start buffing

Blue Ink would have used 4 of them just like this....and gotten 67 miles per gallon.....imperial, of course.....along with clear fuel lines.
Apparently though, he never returned from rehab.

Love the cryptic-ness to that.  New members will not understand and I refuse to say.  But I am laughing my butt off.  Maybe we should just go to BI  in use for convenience.

Here's the path I'm on.....

I have placed an order with Pauter Machine for a set of custom connecting rods to work with the 1.5L crank, and 1.6TD pistons. (49mm big end, 24mm small end, 139.4mm center to center).

My block may need to be bored to +1mm size, and as many of us know, oversized 1.5 pistons are unobtanium in the +1mm size.

1.6TD pistons are relatively easy to come by, so that's the route I have chosen.  Custom rods to work with the 1.6 TD pistons.

Will be taking the block to the machine shop later this week.

in my experience the coke bottle does a slightly better job than pepsi, but i have also heard people say that birch beer bottles are the best, but i've never tried tried one personally.

No need for sandpaper, just find some quartz, bust it up with a hammer and mix it with lard to make a paste.

Slap it together. Once running just add some Coca-cola to the fuel to sweeten the mix. The coke will remove the carbon buildup in the engine
