WTB 1.6 Plastic Timing Belt Covers
« on: January 25, 2016, 08:06:12 pm »
As the title suggests, I'm looking for the two plastic timing belt covers for a 1.6 engine.  Please PM if you have either one, condition, location, cost.  Thanks.

http://www.vw-t3-bus-shop.de/en/

It worked out to $90 for both shipped with all fees.  That's better than I could get them in the US when they were still available.

If planning on ordering from the site, be aware that the prices are different (better) if you have registered and log in.

I thought you said 1.6? Those look like AAZ to me.

That would be because you don't know the difference between Mk2 1.6 and AAZ covers...

If you squint really hard you can see the '068' prefix on the covers in the pictures on the site... :D

I thought I'd give a little update.  The covers arrived today, basically two-weeks after I ordered them.  Perfect new OEM VW 1.6 covers.   ;D

Cool... I was just going to tell you I have a freshly powdercoated 1.6 metal cover I can't use for my tdi setup :(..  I'm willing to sell it for the cost of the piano black powder coating at $75.
