1.6td sputtering

i have a 1986 td jetta. the idle is fine but when i start to accelerate it starts sputtering then dies. from what i have seen it might be the timing of the injection pump. i have no other ideas,  but am open to any suggestions. PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!!!

well i fixed it. it was the kill solenoid. just a thought to the new guys that post on here, like myself. just look at the old posts first. odds are someone already had the problem.
