Rabbit/Jetta TD airbox
« on: April 20, 2006, 12:34:03 am »
I've seen several people looking for the airbox for a Rabbit turbo diesel.
I was over on the vortex and saw this engine bay:

It's an '84 westmoorland, 1.7 carbed gasser.... but the airbox looks like a factory, Rabbit TD airbox to me.
Does anyone have a picture of a Rabbit TD airbox, out of the car. I've seen pictures of several cars with the airbox in the engine bay.
I bought this from the guy and am wondering what the TD box looks like on the bottom.

I'm pretty sure it is the same with the addition of a hose connection on the top of the box.

now that u look at it again, i think it is different because a1 intake boxes han oval kind of flatter fittinh that goes to turbo, not a really round one like this, although, i'm pretty certain this would work reguardless
