Can You Help Identify These Pieces?
« on: September 22, 2015, 09:35:17 pm »
So I bought my first MK1/diesel.  First order of business was to replace the leaking water pump and the timing belt while I am at it.  I started to put it back together and came across these two unique parts that I can not remember where they go.  Can you help me?

#1 Top, front water pump/plastic cover attachment bolt.
#2 throttle cable holder on driver-side front valve cover stud.

Do I get some sort of prize or just a warm feeling?
The mask and the shot(s) are actually an IQ test. If you are wearing or circulating, you just failed the test. I can't feel sorry for you.

I say you get a prize.  That warm feeling may be a bad thing from lack of bladder control.

Does it have to be placed in a special slot and turned to lock into place before you slap the pump up to the rest of the engine?  So you can't be trying to put it on now if the rest of the bolts and sealer is down?
