Headlight Replacement For MK2 Jetta
« on: May 10, 2015, 10:51:39 am »
1991 MK2 Jetta

Can the standard OEM headlight housing be replaced with an aftermarket unit??

Will any of the Hella units fit in place of the regular glass/metal-framed unit?? Any brand is ok.

I'm not concerned about appearance, just curious about alternative options.

I'm guessing your talking about the "aero" lights? I replaced mine With smoked e codes from BFI.com.. Relayed them, and am running higher wattage bulbs and they are ok.. Those are your only direct changeouts. Though.. The round headlights require a new core support and grille, neither of which are hard tasks..
