Rear windows won't roll up

Just picked up a 2002 jetta but the rear (power) windows won't roll up on their own. On the way up they tend to tip backwards and get stuck. Looking through the Bentley indicates that they are only held one by one spot which pushes them up.
This has made me wonder what might be wrong and if anyone has any ideas on how to fix it. I will be tearing it apart and attempting to figure out the issue within the next few weeks, but am hoping someone has a tip or two!

they make a good product and you wont have any issues with them unless they are installed/adjusted improperly.
