Hey guys. I'm looking into some FMIC for my build. Going to be a fresh rebuild on an AAZ with a giles pump and he200wg turbo with anywhere between 15-25lbs of boost and a high flow 2.5" exhaust. I'm curious if anyone had any affordable fmic's they'd recommend? Are the cheap ebay ones junk? I found a used stock intercooler from a neon srt 4 for pretty cheap locally that I'm curious about. Anyone have any experience with these?
What ic turbing size is recommended? I was originally planning on 2.5" but I'm thinking that might be a bit big? thinking 2-2.25 might be a better idea?
As long as you're not planning on crazy high Cummins/Duramax type boost levels the eBay FMICs will be fine. That Neon SRT one looks pretty good too - metal end tanks are a very good thing.
2" is absolutely fine for your boost piping, you don't need anything more than that. Bigger is not really better here, it'll just increase turbo lag.
