Just wondering if with AHU in mk1 frame does one has to use its harmonic balancer with serpentine pulley or can they use mk1-2 nose crank and pulley system - wanting to keep AC with out altering eng bay

The timing belt pulley needs to be the AHU part, but I believe the balancer and the rest of the pulleys will bolt up fine.  The accessory brackets will be the trouble spot I believe.

You can run the mk1 accessories including pulleys on the AHU. Power steering is the only thing that would require some mods to work.
