User LED Driving Lamp Recommendation?????
« on: December 21, 2014, 02:48:41 pm »
I've looked at Hella, Cibie, KC, etc. Way too much $$$$$$.

Amazon has a lot of more reasonably priced offerings.

I'd prefer a "spot" type more concentrated beam..

It seems, from reading the reviews, that, a lot of what the add calls a "spot", is not.

Can someone recommend, from personal use, a good "spot" led lamp from Amazon or other source?

Round or rectangular is ok, NOT a "lightbar" style.

Are you specifically looking for LED or leaning towards LED from ebay/amazon because the prices for Hella. Cibie are too high?

I saw these a while ago: http://www.rallylights.com/all/lights/hella-rallye-4000x-halogen-driving-lamps-and-kits-special-pricing.html would put a pair on the subie if I had time and money to spare.

The 55w H1 bulbs are not the way to go. The H1- 100w will fit if you grind off the little "tit" on the base. Much better light. H3s which are pretty common on this kind of cheap light are a joke. Don't waste your time. H1-55s put out 3 times the light of an H3-55w bulb.
