Original owner had it for about 30yrs, then a guy that started working on it but wasn't a fan of the rabbits and now me. It's basically a 1 owner car. It runs great and is an awesome car. Shifts smooth. I commute with it about 2hrs a day for work.

1982 Rabbit Diesel 1.6 4spd
Aprx 150k miles (odometer recently stopped working)
Original paint and no rot. Has surface rust aka Patina but if you don't like the look, it's perfect for a restoration.
Only spot of real rust I found was the battery tray.
Only issue with the body is the lower right corner is banged up a little. Easy fix though.

"mods"
Brand new Giles pump, just installed.  (aprx 20-30% whp and 10-20% better mpg)
Straight pipe 2" exhaust. Loud during accel but quiet at cruising speeds. (new w/ 2yr warranty from local shop)
Classic aftermarket steering wheel (the name escapes me right now)
Weitec Coils w/ dampening adjustable
BBS RA wheels w/ fresh powdercoat. (spacers on rear)
Corrado front seats, near perfect condition
Autopro headlights w/ 85/90w bulbs. (new)
Swapped an 84 Jetta dash and cluster. The dash is crack free and in great shape overall but cluster stopped working shortly after.
Cabby speaker pods (5 1/4") on front doors.
Alpine Media player HU (included with asking price, otherwise I'll keep it)

"needs"
Headliner
Carpet (temp carpet used to protect floor)
Windshield (replacing next week; if buyer gets it beforehand I'll discount it $200)
Has a recent cold idle issue, just have to rev it a little for like 30seconds before the idles evens out. (I'll address that this week)

Located in Portland, OR  $4500 obo

More pics :)

The only real damage to the body is that corner:

I have the end cap for the bumper, just need to put it on.

Near mint raddo seats:

Temp carpet to protect the floor while waiting for a new one.

The extra gauges near the shifter are not wired currently.

Shiny new Giles pump! Makes this 50hp diesel a whole new beast!

Original stickers

Restoring a Caddy as time and weather allows
Hey, I know that car!  Care to have a blue shifter boot for it?  Send me a PM.  Looking to be up to Portland the first week of Jan.
