I thought I might help you by bumping your thread and letting potential buyers know that if they were planning on going mTDI with this pump I have a single governor spring that I would sell that would be drop-in and would give 4500 rpms. The only other bits required for very good mTDI performance would be the advance parts from an eTDI pump.

i don't understand all the technical stuff. i got an alh tdi and am really thinking of going manual swap into a 91 gti. whats the difference between this pump and the rover pumps people talk about and can i run either as is or do i need to break them open and add parts like mentioned above?

The cummings 4bt has the ability to have more power and fuel output than the rover pumps, but does require more work to install. I just got one running on my ahu swap thanks to Libbys advice (Andrew). The jury is still out on cold starts with the TDI timing advance assembly, but I suspect it will be fine.
The rover pumps usually are drop in pumps with up to 11mm head sizes. this is usually plenty of fuel for an ahu swap or stock alh. The key is my car is far from stock (compound turbo) and I wanted extra fuel to feed it. The 4bt is the best solution for this. If your not planning on doing rods and major internal engine work I would suggest just sticking to the rover pump if you can find one cheap enough.
Punch- FYI I paid $600 for a rebuilt pump on this forum about 6 years ago from a member that bought two. I don't know the condition of your pump, but hopefully that can help you price it a bit.

I have started one of my mTDIs as low as -7ーF without any block heater. It started instantly. I felt kind guilty about it, too. Any engine (gas or diesel) should have a block heater going if it's going to be started at those temps...

The pump is a rebuild. Great condition.
I said make me an offer, the worst I can say is no and thank you for your offer.

I just reread your post shorty, thank you. I kinda misread it last night.
I would like to sell it at a fair price, I would like not to loose money but sometimes that is the name of the game.
