This car has had a substantial overhaul in the few years I have owned it, and only covered a few thousand miles during this time.
It's had a TDI (1Z code) engine fitted running a mechanical injection pump. Note that the car is not fast at present as it was modified for an economy experiment. A different diesel injection pump from a Landrover 200 or 300 TDI and intercooler would change that.
It runs the CTN high ratio gearbox.
The rear axle and brackets have been removed, blasted, primed, painted then refitted with polybushes.
The front end has a mk3 GTI / VR 5 stud conversion with new wishbones primed, painted then fitted with polybushes, along with the corresponding hubs, driveshafts, arb, and 280mm brakes.
The front and rear brake calipers and carriers have been completely stripped, reconditioned, and painted, then refitted along with all new rigid brake lines and HEL stainless braided flexis installed.
It also has a high quality custom fabricated stainless steel exhaust.
Suspension is standard at the moment though it has the improved mk3 GTI / VR top mounts fitted.

It's had a recent new windscreen fitted, the bodywork is matt black and in good condition but not perfect, though easily freshened up. There is no structural rust and the car is straight, it appears to have not suffered and serious crash damage throughout it's life.
The electric windows function, as does the sunroof and rear spoiler. It needs a few wee things sorted such as a bit of peeling on the door cards and the central locking pump refitted.
Private plate is included and 10 months MOT.

The car would also make an ideal base for a 20v conversion as it would have good handling with the widetrack 5 stud running gear, the decent brakes, high ratio gearbox, cable gear change / hydro clutch, and the decent bore exhaust are all applicable to such a conversion.
