Instead, I'd replace the entire exhaust from the turbo back.
I have a mk2 turbo kit with k24 turbo on my truck that I have been trying to sell since its of no use to me after an injury/surgery. I was thinking it may be better for me to turn it back non turbo in order to get more $$$ at the end of the day since I haven't had luck selling the truck as a whole.not sure about pricing though with all thats involved. i would have to buy stock downpipe exhaust, non turbo injectors and an intake/airbox.
i have an 82 truck chasis and have to move soon so i can't disable the truck if i can't sell it within the next month.all i need to turn the chasis back to non turbo is a good set of injectors, the toilet bowl exhaust piece, and i have no airbox for my intake manifold.i have talked with tons of people to sell the truck but few actually come to look at it, didn't think it would take this long to sell it.if it makes sense for me to make more money by selling the turbo kit seperate i should look into it.how far are you from me? i'm in sacramento,ca.
google says im 140 miles from you, not bad.you would have to look around for prices, i have no clue what an acceptable price would be for the parts you need so you could list what you want and what you need to pay and i won't get offended.i just have to make a decision if its worth it for me to do. i don't mind changing out the parts myself but my end goal is to sell the truck and i haven't had luck as it sits and it seems i might make more money breaking it down.i have new bosch injectors td with about 5,000 miles, and my turbo pump is completely resealedall the turbo stuff is mk2 except the vw downpipe is mk1
