WTB: lower half of return line
« on: July 15, 2014, 10:28:28 pm »
Hoping somebody has a busted one so I don't have to cut up a good one. But I'll take a good one. I just need to be able to connect to a stock mkii oil pan fitting and extend it to build a vnt-15 return line.

Thanks!

Anybody know a source for these? Hansautoparts seems to be the only place I can find these online... That's prothe right? I was just going to cut it up to make a custom joint. Basically just need that fitting... Would that be a bad idea?

Just a straight piece of pipe with a compression fitting isn't it?

Mine looks like this.. I'm trying to get something to thread onto that piece however there is no online documentation that I can find of thread type size etc. Theman has commented that he found a jic fitting that seemed close but he wasn't sure which one etc.

Nothing at any local store is even close to that size. So I'm considering just buying that cheap oil line and hacking it up just for that end. At 35 with shipping I would hate to cut up an OEM line...

I found what it was a while ago, but again I do not remember. I know it is metric and I am thinking it should be fairly easy to find. I will not say for sure, but I was thinking it was M20-1.5 thread. Measure across it and if you have a thread pitch gauge see if you can figure it out.

I came up with 22mm.. So m22x1.5 compression fitting is what I need?. I don't have a thread gauge around..

Where do you even find metric compression fittings that big...
