GEE-BEE I can hook you up with the spoiler I didn't want to put on the front of the Rabbit. From a complete kit that came from a GTI. I already had a flat one on so I wasn't interested in the low and pointed nose of the one I bought. It is under the shed keeping the spiders from sleeping. Bright yellow it was, not painted yet.
I took a pass on the Kamei as I had a BBS I think already on and it looked a lot like it. The front spoiler I have is from a GTI, Zender kit. Very much pointy and low to the ground. With the high curbs and pot holes around here I wanted the more flexible BBS.
Will work on picture in the afternoon tomorrow if I can break out of work around 430 instead of closer to 6.
Engine has TD pump, and 2" straight pipe exhaust, otherwise stock. High pressure filled tires. 30mph in 5th gear is just over the "lugging" not for acc, but maintaining speed its fine...
Does Norway use "Imperial" gallons, or "US" gallons?
Steve.
Neither, as any civilised country we use Liters, Meters, and Grams (Kilogram) i have absolutely no idea how much a gallon is, is 4quarts one gallon?
So my original testresult was:
3liter per 100km, going 80kph "passive driving".
4.1l/100km going 90-110 "active driving"
3.7l/100km on my daily driving, which consist of about everything, but trying to keep it under 80kph...
Just put these numbers in to a convertion app and out comes some wicked numbers:-)
It isn't a fast car, this little golf, my whole family in up a steep underwater tunnel (8%) i had to fetch 3rd gear to go 80kph...
3, 3.7, 4.1 l/100 km is 78, 63, 57 mpg in this uncivilized country lol. Those are amazing numbers! Do you have an intercooler? What transmission do you have? Is it mostly flat where you are?
Straight pipe meaning no muffler or resonator?

Its amazing yea, I'm still amazed my self...
I don't know gearbox code other than that its a "ecobox" from a mk2.
Its not turbocharged so no IC...
Straight pipe from a modified TD manifold and a "racemuffler" at the back, no hard bends an fewer bends than original setup.
PictureGoogle Norway;-) "flat" is not in our dictionary...
What about the "full-load adjusting screw" just above the fuel shut-off solenoid?

?
Can that be tweaked a little to increase mileage?

Is it turn in for more fuel(smoke/power) and out for less(economy)

??
You have the right direction on the power versus economy thing for that screw. Just remember if you tweak it you need to bump or reduce the idle as well. Play with one you have to play with the other.
Its been turned a bit out because the stock TD pump gave some blacksmoke, maybe turned a bit to far out, but with this milage i won't touch it!
