Like it says: Is this Prothe?:

That weasel has so many business names, maybe it would be good to have a Stikey called "Prothe Watch" to list them all. It will really piss me off if I just gave hin some more of my money.
Does the website make your eyes bleed? If so, it's prothe.

All I could find with this name is an ebay seller based in the LA area. Prothe runs his business from some town in North Carolina so I doubt they're the same person, which doesn't mean those items are or aren't good quality.
Yeah I looked to see if I could find any similarities - ie most people are lazy, so they will often re-use photos and description text. No matches that I found. Plus there's a bunch of stuff that I've never seen Prothe carry.
That said, it's basically the same junk. Nozzles with no manufacturer identification? Why wouldn't you brag about who made your nozzles? All the stuff is like that. When the seller won't reveal (or at least volunteer) who made the product, that rings alarm bells in my head.
Everything sourced fromm alibaba.com?
Oh, they are definitely chinese, but if they work for $86 a set delivered, I am up for trying them. They all seemed to pop about the same pressue and the spray pattern was uniform and quite well atomized. They are so much better than what I have now, there is bound to be a big improvement. We'll see how they hold up. Mileage and a pop test now and again will let me know.
I just want to make sure that I never give that F&%k Prothe another nickel.
WOT car does Prothe drive?
Interesting post guys.
I live in Raleigh, NC, and have a couple vendor spots in the Charlotte Motor Speedway for the spring and fall Autofest. Which reminds me: WHY are there not more VW parts in the Flea Market/Swap Meet areas of the Charlotte Autofest ? I think it would be great to have more VW guys show up and sell their wares, but I digress...
A couple years ago, I got tipped off by posters on this forum about P Rothelsberger (sp?) "Prothe" and found out he operates his "business" in the Charlotte area. So I decided to give him a call to see if I could meet him; checkout the turbo kits he offered before buying; and to maybe get a few pics so I could post about meeting the infamous Prothe...
I called their office, explained I was in the area, and that I wanted to come by their 'store' to checkout their turbo kits.
We haggled for about 10 minutes before she (the lady on the line) reluctantly agreed to me coming by - but then claimed I could not view (come inside) their facility; nor meet the infamous Prothe. After about another 10 minutes of being read the rules, I gave up.
As I understand it, it's buyer beware, and choose 'low impact' parts, but if I get a chance to snap a pic or two, I'll be sure to post 'em up.
