Just got my 1.6td with t3 Giles pump new injectors and belt and seals. And I get a decent amount of black smoke first time I took it out was today but the engine has about 7k on the work. Are their any bad aspects to the smoke trails.

EGTs are the main bad thing. High exhaust gas temperature is usually associated with black smoke. High exhaust temperatures will melt your turbo and crack pistons.

Turn up the boost, add an intercooler if you don't have one already.
