Dipstick tube funnel ID question
« on: June 15, 2014, 10:43:47 pm »
Anyone know what the deal is between 053103663 and 028103663B?

Other than 6mm or so longer in favor of the latter?

My AAz came out of the crate with the former, but my application listings seem to
call the AAZ the 663B version, which is longer, which would mean I've been running the oil
a bit low.  Or the data is incorrect, and I'd be running it overfull with the 663B...

So...  yeah.

Nothing huh lol. Only I manage to find questions like this.

How bout this, is the mounting angle the same in an a3 Jetta as an a1?

I do know the other angle is different. That is why the trans fill is a little different in the a1 and a2 020's according to broke vw. If that is the case it is highly possible that the angle you seek is different as well.

I am looking for that hard dipstick tube for my aaz as well. I will contact the dealer and see if I can find it now, before he wants the vin number.

I ordered one from the dealer based on an AAZ in the EPC of 028103663B, but what came off my
motor was the other number I posted.  Since it's survived 140K or so apparently what's on there is
ok-enough, but I'd feel better if I knew.  I was thinking if the angle the motor sat at was the same maybe
I could figure it out, is it laid over more in the later chassis?
