Boost Guage Install - Where have you run your line ?
« on: March 21, 2006, 10:43:31 pm »
As the title asks,
Im putting a boost guage in & am a bit lost as to where to run the plastic line from the T junction to the guage.
Im going to mount it in to the storage pocket in front of the gear stick.

I have had a quick look in the engine bay ,but cant see any bung holes in the firewall behind the engine, will i have to try & go through, via the window wiper space somewhere ?

Also whats the easiest way to wire up the light ?

I run mine through the hole in the middle of the firewall (pretty much behind the turbo), that hole is usually used for the vacuume line for the heaterbox in gas cars (If I remember correctly).

Besides that there are a few more under the drivers side foot area, usualy by the pedals/fuse box.

im not sure where my line came thru because the owner before me ran it. but factory radio was moved down to ashtray location. so i was going to put the guages in factory radio din.. thought it would be best there because i don't have to take my eyes too far off the road to see it.

Thanks guys, Ive managed to run it through a rubber bung just behind the clutch pedal ( RHD) ,so its actually worked out better as i have been able to mount it easier on the side pillar or courner of the dash. :D
