I checked the injection pump timing for the first time today. I just wanted to get used to the procedure and using the two-turn dial indicator; 0.50mm per rotation. It was right on the money at 0.9mm. I moved the crank and did it again for practice. So, I didn't have to change the pump position.
I seems reasonable that the metal fuel lines should be loosened and re-tightened at some point. Yes? Bentley doesn't mention it.
Also, I fitted the pump locking pin into its position. I bought it on Ebay. It doesn't fit as snug as I thought it would.
Should it be a pretty snug fit? It's 0.594" dia.; my 11 mm socket is .611".....Youtube guy says 0.615...I've seen some
have to tap it in with a hammer !!
