VNT Turbo on 2.5TDi Engine, help
« on: April 23, 2014, 04:39:58 pm »
Hi guys, I've got a V70, it's Bosch ME7 i think?
Currently has a silly little K14 on, and I want to put a VNT on for the better response an not being completely dead above 4k rpm
What's the best way to do this?
I could put together a manual controller, or an electronic standalone with soe help.
But it the ECU likely to freak out?
Could I just use the standard wastegate control and and the thingy on the turbo (minds blanked) and use that to control the vanes?
Doesn't sound ideal as it wouldn't let off on cruise, trying to maintain full boost all the time

I can't imagine it would be easy tuning the ECU for VNT purposes?
I think the T5's had this engine/ECU with a GT17 or something on, but having an ECU off them re-coded to my car is way too much effort/resulting cost.
Becuase I'm cheap.

Here's my tank, 140hp/290nm and a massive 1600kg
