1992 Golf TD 5 speed - Nebraska - complete or parts

Dont know much about it.  its 1992 Golf 2 door w/ a TD motor installed ( i know , i dont think it was suppose to have one )
the transmission code is AWY - cant find code on the engine block.  Runs decent - needs motor mounts , cooling fans dont kick on , there is a home light switch in the dash and another toggle switch sitting to turn on the blower motor.  It has some rust .  Previous owner installed alternator and its not the right one  its sits at a hard angle and dont fit right in the mounting bracket.

Odometer says 240k - again , dont know.

starts runs and drives.   located outside Lincoln nebraska.

$1000 whole car as is where is -   give it a week or two then i might just part it out.
