All of the above would help.  How much boost is it running right now? Is the exhaust still clear or is it very smokey?

I have not installed a boost gauge yet. I`m not sure what boost is from the factory.... Smoke a bit under 2500rpm.

I dont like the smoke on idle....

Excess fuel at idle would cause idle speed to increase rather than cause smoke. Typically smoke at idle has more to do with incomplete combustion and/or blowby, etc. Usually it is only present at start up. If your exhaust smokes and then clears up it is because the turbo has created enough boost to fully combust all of the fuel. So, there should be a bit more room to increase fuel and therefore power output.

To my knowlegde boost cannot be adjusted using vag-com. Old injectors may cause smoke if they are no longer properly atomizing fuel. That would mean poor fuel economy as well.
