I just want to know why the woman in the pic is showing the child how to use a pirate sword.

 Maybe it it some sort of pirate sword training\ ip pump disassembly workshop\camp?

Or better yet, the plunger was cut using the fine honed edge of the pirate sword..... the plot thickens....
