well lucas got the one that was in cleveland... yea one was here...
some miscommunications.. sadly.. they need to have told me things before the transaction.. been seeing ideas and such... and lucas really is set up for mock test fitting.. just i do not think the 2 of them knew they need to use eachother..
i saw pic of aaz 2 piece style pully mocked to the rover hub.. i think it will work..

i just do not know yet who has it..

my emails were gotten after...
but ideas of exchange mounts, pre modded w/core charges and pully system that will work are also gettiing thought of.. so the swap time is more bolt on now vs need to do.. will be extra charge type of option.. but he making shopping list

I have a spare Rover hub if anyone wants it for experimenting...
The offset of the Rover hub is definitely different from the ALH hub. I'd imagine the AAZ hub is probably the same as the ALH hub.
BTW regarding brackets - an individual on the TDIClub forum is trying to put together a kit to fit large snout pumps on small snout engines - includes a modified bracket and a shaved down pulley to fit inside the stock timing cover:
http://forums.tdiclub.com/showthread.php?t=399537He hasn't included the back plate of the timing cover though. And his price is a bit on the high side...

Bosch part number is
0460414080, or last 3 digits 099,098,069,136,194,205
These are some of the part #s to the pumps you are looking for.

yea i got way less in my custom pully and the bracket mod.. and as i told the guy.. doing it via core with only a little profit on the part.. does take time to do so he needs something.. but my thought on price way less.. and more of a i can have it now vs i can get mine machined tomarrow aspect.. if a normal machine shop is 20-50$ exceeding that too much = fail... and i had $100 in my custom gear.. and vs trying to find mk4 style hub was well worth it..

Yeah that was kind of my thought too. I dropped my bracket, pulley and timing cover off at a shop on Friday, should be ready this afternoon. Didn't actually ask about price but I bet it's less than $175.
On the Rover pumps - the ones with a built-in TPS are fantastic if you ever plan on doing anything VNT-wise... I think that's the -099 version.

I didn't have my pulley shaved down, as I don't run upper covers. My shop charged me $65 to bore the bracket.
The guy on TDI Club wanted $125 + core.

The offset of the Rover hub is definitely different from the ALH hub. I'd imagine the AAZ hub is probably the same as the ALH hub.
The offset on the AAZ hub may be the same, but the shaft diameter is smaller and so the AAZ hub and ALH hub do not interchange. The Rover hub offset is wrong as well as the hole alignment and so it won't work without a fair bit of machining.
Easiest/cheapest is to get a core ALH pump off eBay, pull the hub and sell the core on eBay for pretty much what you bought it for...

What about complete rover motors? I have a Disco I that I'd love to swap, but I can't justify the cost of adapters, etc... If I could find a complete rover setup, it would make my year.
