Here is a thread with the details of what has been done.
The gas-diesel conversion of the car is all finished, it just needs a running engine. The swap was %95 finished when I found out the engine was bad.
At this point all that needs done is to find a running 2.0 TD and bolt it in, the drivers side motor mount has to be switched onto the TD and the front valence needs to be welded or drilled/bolted back in.
I have a new clutch/resurfaced flywheel along with new batteries for it Ialso have the originall 5 abnger gasser for it which was in ok condition, I did not drive it around much with the gasser, it is a bit tired. When I started the car after it sat for a couple of weeks it did blow some bluish gray smoke, other that that it was a reasonable runner, K-jet fuel injection.
Anything you might want can be included i.e. the old block which is rebuildable, but needs asleve for the #2 cylinder, good luck finding a head for it.
How much? PM an offer and we'll talk.
Pics later.
"car" is in portland Or.
Keep the details coming...any pics of the body?

Forgot to mention I have Bently manuals for the QSW and the Audi 5k.
I don't know how this story ended, but for whoever has this car now, if you are in the pacific northwest, I just ran across a fully rebuilt 5-cyl Audi 5000 turbodiesel engine for sale in Seattle for $350! That's an incredible deal, and would get this project on the road right away.

It is likley a gasser by now, a guy from a VW wrecking yard bought it and had no desire to track down a Diesel for it. That is such a good deal. Just 3 months too late for me.
