Thanks but - been there and done that already, as of 2013 the hot rod, grey cars etc categories do not apply to vehicles from 2000 and on, yours is a 98 so you qualified, mines a 2000 so it doesn't.
Thanks anyway - I've already moved on to my next project.

Sorry for your luck.  That is a bad break.  Do you know the gear ratios on the TDI transmission?
