Road trip Louisville to Flagstaff
« on: September 23, 2013, 08:00:07 pm »
Heading out tomorrow night to go pay Andrew Libby a visit get tuned up and drop an 01m off to him. I'm also going to check out the Grand Canyon and visit Sedona while I'm on my trip. Reason I'm posting is to find out if there is anyone along that might be able to hook me up with Bio d for a good price to help me save some $$$. And some contacts in case I have mechanical trouble God forbid. Cheers!  :D

That's a long way!

But then again, I've heard people used to drive from as far as Atlanta... to get Coors beer in Texarkana.

1300 miles. I'll knock it out in 2 twelves and only have to stop for fuel in ABQ ;D. My grandparents are going to be at the Canyon so I'm gonna meet up with them and the lady is going to fly out on an airlines buddy pass and drive home with me.

If you  get lost in a storm, wander off course, and  end up in Cali, drop a PM.
Otherwise, have a great drive.

Or if he takes a wrong turn in Albuquerque, then he could come over and say what's up doc

try to buy 1.... now imagine needing 1 on a road trip.. only 3 year engine... passat/jetta only.. used hard to find.. new $$$$

so you search out used set.. keep in spare tire or rear quarter panels on your b3 wagon...

axle, headwork, turbo so on.. no real spares.. but a injector line is like a plug wire.. they will eventually crack... just when... i borrowed lucas set for my cali trip... finally got a spare set.. for all the times i did cross country.. denver in 03 i broke one.. turbo #2 the odd ball sittin on side of road.. lucaly i knew a diesel horder in denver i built a tdi-e mk2 in 02 for that had one.. but i keep a spare set fo ridi and tdi now..

when i ran my 84.. hell if you look in its spare tire area you will find ignition control modual, distributer, fuel pump... the 3 things that can shut me down on side of road and my simple to fix.. everything else would be  tow and garage in theory.. spare brak elight switch to fix brake line leaks.. jumper wire.. hose/ductape

Made it to abq left yesterday at 1am drove all day with moderate amount of stopping and a lost debit card car search only to find out I dropped it at whole foods in tulsa and their policy is to shred any debit card found immediately. Got spooked on heat going thru first set of elevation in NM it was so gradual I didn't realize it was so much.

Forget the debit card. Just get a chip stuck in your forehead.
The mask and the shot(s) are actually an IQ test. If you are wearing or circulating, you just failed the test. I can't feel sorry for you.
