Even more depressing. First the truck we want, then a new garage to work on it in and now a new tool bench? Come on, you're killing me with envy.
I had to get out the coveralls last weekend to stay dry enough and warm enough to work on the Rabbit. Also had to keep the tool box on the porch with the lid closed to keep the tools dry. Oh yeah, tis winter again.

Yes, but you're not 65 years old. Give it time, it will come.

I am closer than you think. Not sure where to put a garage around here. PO of the house converted it to living area. I threatened to put it back and the wife gave me "the look" you know the one. I even offered to keep the space open to the living room so she could see that I was in there working hard and that didn't buy me any points either.

How about we send you a couple of ours just so you don't run out of things to do this winter. I hear it is going to be a long one this year.

You know, I've been hearing that. I've also been thinking that a Mk 1 Jetta coupe with a new "Clean Diesel" TDI would be a really nice winter project.
