Turbo oil feed line
« on: April 24, 2006, 06:39:21 am »
Does anyone know what threads are on either end of the turbo feed line. It goes from the top of the oil filter housing to the turbo. I'm looking for the thread of the fitting that screws into the OF housing and into the turbo. The line has compression fittings that screw onto these transition fittings, I believe.
I'm going to change mine to stainless tubing with Swagelock fittings.

Hasn't anyone ever looked at these threads? I assume they're standard pipe thread, but I'd like to know so I can buy the fittings BEFORE I take it apart.

im having the same problem .It seems im going to have to tap another fitting or something.I bought a after market t3 feed line but it isnt correct thread size.It looks like i need 1/2'' off the turbo to 1/8 npt to oil filter flange.1/8 npt seems to fit in the snder location on filter flange.

where the oil feed line goes into the oil filter is M12 x 1.5
I bought the only adapter I could find
which was from M12 to 1/4 npt and then another adapter from 1/4 to whatever the line was -3 AN i think

I've been thinking about doing this with Swagelok fittings too.  I figured they would be metric threads.  Are you using Swagelok tubing too?

Just ran across this (thank goodness for search). And it looks like these Swagelok guys are the business. I have a store less than an hour away from my house. If I can not find any particular adapter you bet your sweet bottom I am gonna be hitting these dudes up.

The FAQ section had the thread sizes of each end of the adapter. I went with steel JIC connections as they are pretty reliable and every hose shop has JIC pieces if it failed.
