adding hydro/02a to a mk2?? look here
« on: June 14, 2013, 09:30:03 am »
i have had people ask for my b4 pedals and such for their mk2.. i see posts looking for b3 stuff.. want to point this out to you guys...

holes required in firewall

sort of major required piece.. to the left is stock booster bracket.. to right is a ABS bracket.. but you need the piece to the right of it to hold the clutch slave!! as you see i have to fab.. non abs piece is direct bolt on...

is a close up of the roddo/b3 clutch mount for master.. b4 is 100% different... b4=mk3 master!!! different!!! why... the b4/mk3 have a stamped arm/leg the master has a squeeze plastic clip to hold in place... why... important... this can be made on a mk2 pedal pretty easy...

if a far out look of it.. b3/roddo..

stock mk2 pedals.. to extend it up with say piece of angle.. you can make that "pivit pin" via a bolt, nut so on to affix the clutch master to the stock mk2 pedals..

but dont we still need to swap over the 'go' pedal?

which is why i always thought using the passat pedals, non-abs booster bracket, and hyd setup was the direct swap way to go (after cutting a hole in the firewall)

CRSMP5 could you do us a favor, and post some pics with the slave installed on the pedal so people know what your talking about, i had to study the post for a few minutes before i understood.

honestly.. think go pedal has same pivot.. i actually think its same go pedal with a pot attached thru the stock throttle hole..

clutch master is on order.. but yes i plan to photo it.. i also decided to build my own.. guess 2... maybe 3.. hydro master mounts.. :P

all it does is tie the booster to clutch.. so the firewall no flex.. its not very thick.. its stamping id its strength.. but a 8"x8" square of plate on both sides of firewall so i can seal those little holes may be a win... make mounting ears on it to attach with 2 of the 3 studs for the master/booster area of pedals and should work better then stock..

when i strip the b4 tdi ill confirm pedal.. but may be a month.. but ill have the mk2 to photo beside the b4 tdi set up so you can see the other style mount..

The mk3 pedal swaps into the mk2, but the part you press with your foot is in an odd spot, it will be much better to mod the stock gas pedal. All it will need is a bolt and nut, through the hole where the cable attatched. Then you can connect the go cable. Then find a way to mount the electronic part.

I gotta pull my dash first
