Long time lurker here. This site has been a wealth of knowledge for me through my v-dub adventures. Thanks all. Over the years I acquired some spare parts. Many of these parts were included as a lot when I purchased a 1.6TD motor for rebuild. The guy I bought the block from threw in pretty much all the old VW parts he had. I took the rebuild in a different direction than he had planned, thus I’m listing extra parts here in hopes of funding the rest of the build. And passing them on to those who could use them.
I have shipping included in many of the prices which assumes USPS to the lower 48. Canada/Alaska/Mexico and the likes will likely require a bit extra to cover those locations.
1) 1.6 TD Head. 12mm bolt. Mechanical. .004” resurfaced. New valve stems, seals, guides. ~1,000 miles on resurfaced rebuild. Turns out the head wasn't the problem--it was the bad block. Receipt showing recent warpage check pictured. Receipt of machine shop who performed resurfacing also shown.
UPDATE 5/15/2013: I just checked the threads of the glowplugs and injectors and found some damage to the #3 injector seat. I don't know if this makes this head unusable. Pic added. Best offer at this point assuming it's still usuable.
2) 1.9 TD Head. Bare. Hydraulic. Prothe/Rothenbacher Engineering. Unused in open box. $225 shipped.
3) 1.6 TD Piston Set. .5mm over. Prothe/Rothenbacher Engineering. Came installed on block I purchased for a rebuild. Never fired. I removed and replaced w/ Kolbenschmidts. Pics show Kolbenschmidt wrapping and box. These are NOT KOLBENSCHMIDT pistons.
$150 shipped. SOLD4) Recaro Power Seat Bases. I was told these worked when I bought them. Sported them in the truck for awhile, but having no power to them made them difficult to adjust. So I modified some mk2 scirrocco seat bases to carry my recaros. The are now adjustable and much lighter and sit about the same height. $100 plus shipping.
5) Volvo 2.4TD Intake Manifold. I bought this with intentions of cutting off two runners and creating a custom intake for my engine build. I ended up figuring out how to use a G60 intake w/o hitting the turbo. $75 shipped
