5 cyl gas and 5 cyl diesel..

believe these also fit the Volvo 2.4L 6 cyl..
92 Jetta GLI - Black, 1.6D w/ GT2056V turbo..
86 GTI - 4 Door, Med Twilight Gray, Tow Machine..
86 Audi Coupe GT - Tornado Red, All Stock.. WRECKED.
89 Toyota 4Runner - Dark Grey Metallic, LIFTED!

Turbo: exhaust gasses go into the turbocharger and spin it, witchcraft happens and you go faster.

I ran those on my 84 Jetta TD back in the day. I think they'll work on any vw IDI with an oil cooler. they're shorter and wider than the IDI and early TDI spin ons. not positive on that but pretty sure.

idk why you couldnt run them on ANY vw then.. gas, diesel, oil cooler or not...

they dont need to be specific to the oil cooler, because the flange for the cooler has the same sealing dimensions as the cooler its self..

All of these things are true.  My only input is that these things are very big in diameter.  Like 5 or 6 inches.  So anybody who is considering buying them should make sure there is enough clearance with whatever may be in the way.  I bought some for my project only to find out that they wouldn't fit because my block was too fat.

if these are the same filters I had back in tha day, they're a lot wider than the factory VW diesel unit. the oil cooler kept them away from the engine so they'd fit without any interference. if there's no oil cooler they'd hit the block or something, can't really recall. the size of the pipe thread and rubber seal is the same as all the other vw spin ons.

How many of these do you have, and how much do you want for them?

Looks like I have 1 case left.  Pay the shipping and they're yours.  Better than sending them to the recycle.
