My issue is the broken tab on the AC compressor that locks the belt tensions
Ive been having issues with my alternator/belt and i just replaced my alternator only to find this tab broken...i think i know why my belt slips!

I'm thinking of having a welding shop weld a tab back on just so i can hold tension as the AC system doesnt work anyways but i would like to keep it installed for a future owner who desired to fix it. Unless someone has a Compressor they would be willing too hook me up with? i have a few IP's than can be used as cores for trade and some other misc parts. any help is appreciated!
I should mention that this is on a 1991 ECO diesel
I seem to recall that the compressor has 4 mounting tabs and can be rotated around to the next good one in such a situation... No need to have it welded.

I have a compressor (deleted ac) from my Eco if you need one.

ok, i will contact you shortly, i have read an even mix of people saying it is rotate-able and some saying it's not. i will be taking a look today.
tabs pretty much same.. but line fittings/clutch wire.. no so simple to move...

i would rather extend a wire and cap some refrigerant lines than pay for a new compressor haha,
good news! I was sucessful in indexing the compressor 90 degrees, and everything bolted up great. since my system was empty already, i just had to crack the b-nuts on the lines to the compressor before i rotated it, then tightened the down once it was installed again. Re-routed the clutch wire and everything worked out. thanks for all the help everyone!
