AAZ questions
« on: March 31, 2013, 02:36:50 pm »
I need a part number for the dipstick tube on an AAZ.  Can I change out the whole dipstick assembly for any 8v version?  Thanks.

Part number is 028 103 634. The top piece is 028 103 663B. Since the port in the block is pretty much the same, as long as the dipstick, tube, and oil pan all match I don't see why there would be a problem.

The screw is a M7x1.25x13 with a phillips head.

Most of this info is available on VAGCat.

I'd say that they are quite different (dipsticks). The 1.6 one slides in with a washer and o-ring but the AAZ is a splined press in type deal.
