So how do I do it. I want my engine to spin up a bit faster than it does. I am just not feeling the acceleration ya know. It will spin up to 5K (I dont do it) easy enough, but its how long it takes to get there. I have the pump worked already, 2.5" exhaust (need dp still), boost up to 15lbs. And yet the only gear that revs fast enough is 1st, and its so short it wont even build boost. So any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Hate to sound stupid, but, are all the filters, fuel and air new?  Have you cleaned the injectors?  I've found Diesel Purge works well?

I hope this helps?

for what it's worth, many TD's and TDI's and NA diesels adapted to Suzuki Samurais are running flywheels that are substantially cut from stock - my first one was a 1.9td flywheel with about an inch and half of the diameter removed to fit inside the the Suzuki bellhousing, using the Suzuki ring-gear too. It does make for a quick-revving diesel, as in, you can "blip" the "throttle" and get snappy response. I cannot say it would do much for your 0-60 times but the VW TD will run with a LOT less mass (and smaller diameter means I removed the most effective mass, at that).

I shaved my AAZ flywheel to 8 pounds and it was great. 0 drivability issues and it revved fast. Porting the head helps too

I installed a TDI with a k03 (boost at idle) literally the fastest rev I have seen.

haha.
