I am building a Franken TD pump from a 1.6 NA pump and a Peugeot TD pump. The NA pump has a fuel limiter pin that must be removed. How is that pin installed? It looks like it is pressed in from the inside? Or is it pressed in from the outside? I am thinking of drilling it out and tapping it with 1/8 NPT thread for a fitting for pump pressure measurements. Has anyone done that? Is it possible? Is there enough metal there?

you can completely remove the pin, and plug it, or push the pin out of the way, and re-seal it in place..
i just push the pin out of the way and smear a little clear epoxy around it to seal up any potential leaks..
how was the pin installed when manufactured? was it pressed in from the outside in? or inside out?

it is pressed in from the outside of the body, then the pump body is crimped around the pin basically..
ive always had to drive the pin all the way in, against the governor shaft, taken my dremel, removed the excess metal from the boss that holds the pin in, then pushed the pin flush with the inside of the pump body..
then clean everything up really good, and seal it up with some clear quick-set high strength clear epoxy. ive done this to atleast 4-5 pumps now, and its worked every time, and not a single one of them leaks..
if you want, i might be able to dig up some pics, and show you exactly what im talking about with the boss needing material removed?
will this work:?
1. drill a 1/8 inch hole in the crimp till it hits the pin.
2 knock the pin out with a punch.
3. tapb the hole with 1/8 NPT thread for a pressure gauge fitting.
