early vs. late brake light switches(a1)
« on: March 01, 2006, 11:55:52 pm »
ok,i wanna ditch the old pressure switches on the masteron theol'79 w/a  81 up pedalswitch,,, ican see that im on the brakes some before the lamps go on,,allthe early cars i ever had did this,,and now i wanna fix it,,besides the diesels slow downenough without brakes anyways,,i got a switch i ordered ,cause it was like 4$ and ifigured i would make or cut off an oem switchbracket,,,but i dont like how its gonna pushon the pedal, its taking up the pushrod freeplay,no good, soi aint gonna use it,,threw it in the parts bin ,,,soi was figuring onusing a microswitch, actually saved 2 from the ac heater control in the dash, well i was figurin to use that instead of the orig 81 up switch, and runnin it to a relay soi dont kill its contacts,,,,,has anyone else tried this yet????
