well honestly.. ~$500 for some type of coil kit is the delay.. i know my "yearly" fun budget.. the $s tied up in getting this, then april/may 2x cost of living months.. june, july this needs to road trip.. so sept is when the soonest i see my pulling the shell from the frame..

so if you wanna donate a free new set of coils for it.. it may drive in july... else next season..

realism is i want the piggy bank to be a little heavy when i start.. dont wanna skimp on this.. can only do the body pull/install right 1 time.. hate i have too the 1 time.. and this helps my build the piggy bank.. but i do wanna drive it in 2014.. so next fall...

guess i need to sell it... no vin #... no "good history" of the kit... via ohio's laws.. it will never be able to be used/registered.. they will impound it much like trailers with tdi's on them... cannot see how i can even tow to shows now this season...

at least it not in cali.. their laws suck.. now i know why it sat there never finished.. there it gets build date of inspection when complete.. aka 2013 epa buddy.. or current year of build... unless your 1 of 1st 500 of year to apply..

so in theory i towed a untitled trailer ~3700miles with expired plates (some fiticious expired in 89 cali plate on car, my guess doner car parts) cross country.. with a unnotirized piece of scratch paper...

so sadly those who i wanted to see it.. for myself who wanted to own it... we all got screwed..

do not send me pm's with ideas..

i have thought of bill of sale states... wow lets just make sure it turns into a felony..

and i own the mk1 i planned to build with... so i have a good vin # for the car to build with... cannot just slip it on.. as then it same as bs with trailer... no proof of how vin got on it.. where kit was purchaed from original person.. or any of that...

yea i can have lots of build pics/proof.. but by ohio's law.. gotta have notorized receipt for the body/frame.. and the state pigs then do  history of it all.. and impound it if question till resolved.. after you spend all the $ to make street legal 1st..

i'll give you about tree fiddy

i would think that there is some sort of path to having it titled, certainly the seller could still have a bill of sale notorized and then mail it to you?  some type of body swap registration?  or custom vehicle registration?

it'd be a real shame if u can't get it on the road i can only imagine how fun that thing would be.  i think if i was doing a kit car tho it would probably be more along the lines of a lotus 7 super stalker with some type of odd yet common engine in it, with cheap drive line parts, i met the brunton dude that makes the kits at the carlisle euro and kit car show he was really a down to earth british guy he said most of it uses s10 parts so everything is cheap and easy to get.

s10s are junk... ill leve it at that...

problem is guy i got it from lacks where he got it from... aka history ohio checks into and will impound till answered...

my tow guy moved.. no impound fee title that way... and that also got $$$ to get back to road cause it becomes salvage, then has to pay for rebuilt salvage title...

so not like

more like who's that in the clock tower...
